193 Miles, One Charge: Verge TS Pro Enters the Record Books

Verge Motorcycles has officially etched its name into the record books. On March 22, 2025, the TS Pro set a Guinness World Record for the longest distance travelled by an electric motorcycle on a single charge under real-world urban conditions.

The journey was almost as long as the record title, as the bike clocked an impressive 193 miles (310.7km) through the bustling streets of London—and still had 7% battery left in the tank when it rolled to a stop.

As the headline suggests, this wasn't a closed course or a staged test run. The attempt was conducted entirely on public roads, dealing with the full unpredictability of city traffic, including stoplights, congestion, and everyday riding conditions. The feat was closely monitored and officially verified by a Guinness World Records representative.

If you're already familiar with Verge, you know their bikes don’t follow traditional design rules—and the TS Pro is no exception. It features the company’s distinctive hubless rear wheel with the electric motor built directly into the rim, an engineering choice that frees up room in the frame for a larger battery, is lighter than a traditional hub motor, and lowers the bike’s centre of gravity. It's a great look and a design that is being pushed to the limits by companies such as Donut Lab.

Here are the official specs of the record-setting Verge TS Pro:

  • Power: 102 kW (137 hp)

  • Torque: 1000 Nm at the wheel

  • Top Speed: 200 km/h (124 mph)

  • 0–60 mph: 3.5 seconds

  • Charging: 0 to 80% in approximately 35 minutes (fast charging)

  • Stated Range: Up to 350 km (217 miles)

The Record to Beat

Prior to Verge's achievement, the previous record for the same feat was held by Jean-François Reumaux and Nathanaël Maury, who covered an impressive 418.18 miles (673km). However, their record was set in a controlled environment, not in the unpredictable, stop-and-go conditions of city traffic.

Why This Matters

One of the biggest hurdles for electric motorcycles has always been range anxiety. In cities, it's rare to reach high speeds, so range can be less of a concern than on open country roads, but there's a fear that unpredictable traffic and diversions can drain a battery faster than expected. This record directly tackles that concern. Riding almost 200 miles on a single charge—in a major city, with traffic—will go a long way to reassure bikers.

The TS Pro’s regenerative braking no-doubt helped extend the range during the constant start-stop of city life. It's a perfect demonstration of how EV tech actually thrives in urban environments.

For Verge, this is a PR win—it’s a proof point for their engineering choices. The in-wheel motor and the battery-dense chassis aren't just for show. They deliver real-world benefits that matter to everyday riders.

With this Guinness World Record now in its pocket, Verge Motorcycles just gave the entire e-moto sector something to chase—and gave urban riders a serious reason to rethink what an electric motorcycle can do.

Ride safe, folks.
