Electric Queen: Margaux Pena Powers EM Into 2025

The EM Factory Team is charging into the 2025 season with a solid line-up, proven tech, and fresh determination. At the centre of the team’s momentum is Margaux Pena, one of the sport’s up-and-coming female riders and a strong ambassador for the future of electric trials.

Pena continues her climb in the Trial2 Women category of the FIM Trial World Championship, where she’s gained attention for her precision and style. With more women stepping into high-level trials each season, Margaux is helping lead the way.

In a sport historically dominated by men, her presence alone is significant. But with her technical skill set and dedication, she represents exactly the kind of next-gen talent that makes electric trials so exciting to watch.

She’ll once again be aboard Electric Motion’s Epure FACTOR-e, the team’s premier competition bike. While no major updates have been confirmed for 2025, the latest FACTOR-e already packs serious performance and is widely respected on the circuit.

Tech Spotlight: Epure FACTOR-e

The Epure FACTOR-e means business and comes equipped with an 18 kW electric motor, delivering a monstrous 1400 Nm of torque in first gear through a 4-speed gearbox. It's all wrapped in a lightweight aluminium frame, with top-tier suspension and geometry tuned for the demands of elite trials.

The FACTOR-e also features regenerative braking, tuneable traction control, and five selectable power modes, allowing riders to adapt instantly to different sections. Whether navigating loose rock, slick logs, or vertical walls, this machine gives riders maximum precision without sacrificing punch. It’s no wonder EM continues to make waves with it on the world stage.

Veteran Leadership: Gaël Chatagno

Still anchoring the EM Factory Team is Gaël Chatagno, a rider whose name has become synonymous with electric trials excellence. As the 2020 Trial-E World Champion, Gaël has helped raise the bar for what e-trials bikes—and riders—can do. His technical ability, consistency, and deep experience make him a cornerstone of the team.

With Gaël leading the charge and Margaux gaining momentum, EM is showing the value of pairing proven veterans with rising stars. It’s not just good strategy—it’s great for the growth of the sport.

2025 Competition Calendar

  • French Elite Championship: Margaux will participate in this national championship, aiming to showcase her skills and contend for the title.

  • European Championships: She is set to compete in the European Trials Championships, representing the EM Factory Team on an international level.

Historically, EM has focused on trials competitions, including the FIM Trial World Championship and various national trials events.

Notably, the FIM Trial World Championship typically begins in March and concludes in September, with events held across Europe and occasionally in other regions. For instance, the 2024 season featured events in Spain, France, Italy, and the United States.

Eyes on 2025

All signs point to a thrilling season. Margaux will be looking to break into higher rankings, while EM continues its mission to dominate electric trials with innovation and top-tier talent.

We’ll be rooting hard for Margaux this season. She’s not only representing the team—she’s representing every young rider looking to take a shot at the top.

Ride safe, folks.
