When I started the mission to profile all our manufacturers, I had to prioritize Stanford. They were the first company I successfully negotiated a deal with and the first to deliver bikes to me in the UK. It's safe to say their product is reliable, and they are continually advancing and enhancing their motorbikes.
Who Are Stanford?
Wuxi Stanford Tech Co. Ltd. is a Chinese company located in Wuxi. They focus on manufacturing electric motorcycles and scooters for the global market, offering a variety of EEC CoC compliant models suitable for road use in the UK and Europe as well as DOT certified models for the USA. Stanford may not be a major player or widely recognized, but their bikes are well-constructed, dependable, and visually appealing. They are one of the most popular manufacturer among my client's options, and the customization they provide is highly appealing to buyers.
What Makes Stanford Different?
Stanford customizes bikes for each customer, which is an excellent strategy for their production process. This approach allows me to tailor the product to my clients' needs, including body color, battery configuration, region-specific display coding, motor details, charger choices, and additional upgrades like device charging ports.
Built-to-order offers fantastic flexibility, allowing us to create a lighter vehicle for track days that doesn't require a 90-mile range, or a long-range motorcycle with ample torque, tailored to your needs. However, this customization results in a longer lead time, usually around three months from order to delivery, either UK, EU or USA.
What Are They Up To?
Over the past year, Stanford has enhanced the design of their body moldings, providing greater rigidity and extending coverage to the area where the battery is positioned mid-frame. This section is now covered by continuous body moldings from the front. They have also conducted remarkable research and achieved even more notable results with their controller and motor tuning. Stanford is testing a product that can rival the Alia Tech T4 in terms of speed and acceleration, but the Stanford version does not require such a large battery pack, thereby significantly reducing the weight. This product is still undergoing testing, but I hope to introduce it to the UK soon. Stay tuned.
