While we’ve been busy watching LiveWire and Ultraviolette battle it out for e-moto street cred, the Aussies have quietly dropped a thunderbolt of their own. Say g’day to Savic Motorcycles, the Melbourne-based start-up now delivering its much-anticipated Savic C-Series to real customers—yes, actual humans are riding these on Australian roads as we speak.

Savic isn’t some spin-off from a big OEM or a bunch of suits chasing greenwashing PR. This is a garage-born, grant-backed, passion-fueled startup built by riders, for riders. The C-Series is their flagship model—an electric cruiser with muscle, minimalism, and unmistakable Aussie attitude.
Savic C-Series Delta
Let’s start with the Delta—the mid-spec C-Series model now hitting Australian streets.
Motor: 40kW (53 hp)
Torque: 140Nm
Top Speed: 130km/h (81 mph)
Battery: 13.4kWh
Range: ~150 km (93 miles) combined
Charging Time: ~3.8 hours (AC Level 2, 15-amp circuit)
Weight: 260kg (573 lbs)
Price: AUD $19,990 (≈ £10,500 / $13,000 / ₹11 lakh)
Unlike a lot of city-focused electrics, the Delta is built to feel like a real motorcycle. It’s low-slung, planted, and kicks out more torque than most ICE cruisers in its class. It may not break land speed records, but for an urban-to-suburban hauler with a good portion of café racer styling, it’s an impressive piece of kit.
Step Aside—Alpha is the Real Apex Predator
Think the Delta’s nice? Meet the Alpha, Savic’s true top-shelf trim. This version bumps power up to 60kW (80 hp), delivers 200Nm of torque, and carries a larger 16.2kWh battery. The range increases slightly, the top speed hits 160km/h (100mph).

It’s designed for riders who want electric performance without giving up that classic “big cruiser” presence. At AUD $26,990, it’s still priced well below LiveWire’s offerings and makes a strong case as the new benchmark for premium electric cruisers.
Born and Built in Melbourne
Savic Motorcycles was founded by Dennis Savic, a young Australian engineer who left the corporate world behind to chase a dream: build a high-performance electric motorcycle that didn’t suck the soul out of the riding experience. After years of development, funding wins, and local support, the bikes are now being delivered to customers across Australia.

What’s especially refreshing is Savic’s commitment to metal and muscle. No flimsy plastic fairings. No scooter DNA. Just raw, minimalist design with a heavy-duty frame, premium components, and a riding posture that feels familiar.
Global Hopes, Local Focus
So far, the bikes are Australia-only, and there’s no concrete timeline for international expansion. But the team has expressed strong interest in going global, and if demand continues to grow, markets like the UK, U.S., Europe and India are logical next steps.
Until then, the rest of us will be watching closely—and maybe a little enviously.
Ride safe, folks.
