The seriously sleek and plenty powerful Zapp i300 has officially entered the European market. This is a milestone for the British-based company and a pole position for British engineering in the e-moto sector.

By securing the Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA), the i300 can now be sold across the EU and in other countries that recognise the certificate, including India, the world's biggest buyer of motorcycles and, together with China, the current dominators of e-moto sales globally.
Meet the Zapp i300 – Performance Meets Urban Practicality
Zapp designed the i300 to stand out—not just in looks but in performance. It’s a lightweight, high-torque electric motorcycle that blends the convenience of a step-through scooter with the raw power of a sports bike. With all-electric instant acceleration, swappable batteries, and a unique exoskeletal design, the i300 is built for modern urban riders who want speed, style, and sustainability.
Key Specs & Performance

• Motor & Power: A punchy 14kW (18.7hp) electric motor delivering a staggering 587Nm of torque at the rear wheel. That means lightning-fast take-offs at traffic lights.
• Acceleration: 0-50km/h in just 2.35 seconds – quicker than many petrol bikes in its class.
• Top Speed: Capped at 96km/h (60mph), ideal for urban commuting and city highways.
• Battery System: Two removable 1.25kWh lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt (Li-NMC) batteries providing a total capacity of 2.5kWh.
• Range: Around 60km (40 miles) per full charge.
• Charging: The batteries charge from 0 to 80% in under 40 minutes using a standard home socket, or fully charged in under two hours.
Designed for the City, Engineered for the Future

Unlike bulky traditional motorcycles or boxy scooters, the i300 is built on an exoskeletal aluminium and steel frame, giving it a lightweight yet rigid structure. The result? A bike that weighs just 92 kg (203 lbs), making it incredibly agile and easy to handle in traffic.
The braking system is another standout feature. Zapp has equipped the i300 with race-spec stopping power, including a four-piston radial-mount front calliper, full-floating discs, and steel-braided hoses. The suspension setup features adjustable inverted forks, ensuring a smooth ride even on rough city roads.
